Are you considered antisocial if you don’t enjoy going to networking events?  The book Quiet, by Susan Cain, is one of the best written and researched business books that I have ever read and she put things into perspective for me.  She said:  “Here’s a rule of thumb for networking events: one new honest-to-goodness relationship is worth ten fistfuls of business cards. Rush home afterward  and kick back on your sofa. Carve out restorative niches.”
