If I were to ask you to describe your influence, what would you say?
Do you know the source of your influence? Do you understand the extent of your influence or the impact resulting from your influence? Or would your mind go blank?
This confidence building exercise will help you articulate your influence so that you and others understand its power and potential.
Since writing is one of the ways in which I leverage my influence and thought-leadership, it is a writing exercise.
This template was modified from a tool shared with me from my business coach,Mark LeBlanc of SmallBusinessSuccess.com. He encourages us to draft the imperfect version of our defining statement.That takes all the pressure off, doesn’t it?

If you are more comfortable in the visual arts medium versus writing, you can also draw a picture and use key words to depict the current state of your influence…and the desired state of your influence.
